PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DTV set in which program information can be viewed without requiring any special operation in addition to the program video information of a selected channel and a program can be selected comfortably by grasping not only the instantaneous image information in the way of switching the channel but also the content of that program or a program being broadcast next on that channel. SOLUTION: The DTV set capable of storing and utilizing program information comprises a means for detecting the up operation and down operation signals of a channel being operated by a user, and a means for altering the channel when the operation signal is detected and displaying the program screen of the altered channel and further displaying the program information of a program under display and a program being broadcast next for a specified period.
