PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cradle and a camera system using the same which can surely maintain stability in use, are small-sized, and are excellent in storage with regard to the transmission of information to and from an electronic apparatus such as a digital camera, or the cradle to be used for supplying an electric power to the electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The invention comprises a main body part to which the electronic equipment is fitted, a leg part arranged in a way that it can be housed in the main body, a detecting means which is arranged in the main body part and detects the fitting state of the electronic apparatus, and a projecting means for projecting the leg part from the main body part by detection of the detecting means.
