An aid system for regeneration of a particle filter in an exhaust line (3) of a diesel engine, associated with a particle filter (7), an oxidation catalyst (6), a common fuel supply system (8) for the cylinders of the engine, means (16) for adding an additive to the fuel in order to lower the combustion temperature of the trapped particles and to propagate the combustion thereof, and adapted control means (17) for triggering filter regeneration by combustion of the particles during a multiple fuel injection phase, characterized in that the filter is covered and/or impregnated with a material which can constitute an oxygen store which can propagate soot combustion during a filter regeneration operation.
