The litter tray (2) is covered by a one-piece cover (1) open at the bottom with an edge on the cover side at the transition between the outside wall and inside wall. The outside wall (5) and inside wall (6) form an acute-angled join which forms the edge (4) and bearing surface which ergonomically match the shape and claw width of the front paw of the cat. The cover is oval and preferably 15 cm high. The inside wall and step face (7) have screen-like holes (9). A ladder (14) can hang from the edge of the cover.
