SYSTEM FOR STABLY THREADING FRONT END OF STRIP IN HOT FINISH MILL

PURPOSE: To provide a rolling control system for stably threading top end of the strip in a hot finish mill in which the strip is rolled to a predetermined strip thickness by a plurality of rolling mills in a final step of rolling plant of hot rolled strip. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises an image pickup part(3) installed on the side between neighboring two stands among a plurality of stands composing a finish mill for rolling a strip(1) to a predetermined product thickness to pick up an image of the side of the strip; an image processing part(4) for obtaining a loop amount of the strip between the two stands by image data obtained by the image pickup part, and judging the comparison results after comparing the loop amount with a stand value; a rolling speed operation part(5) for operating a speed variation of rolling speed according to a distance between the two stands and the loop amount if the loop amount is greater than the standard value; and a rolling speed control part(6) for controlling rolling speed of the stand at upstream side of a carrying direction of the strip in the two stands according to the speed variation.
