<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink jet recording paper wherein gloss and an ink absorption property are excellent, and corrosion resistance and stain resistance due to active oxidizing gases such as ozone and the like to an image recorded by an ink jet recording system are improved. <P>SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording paper having an ink receptive layer on a base material, the ink receptive layer contains silica, a hydrophilic binder, a water soluble cationic polymer and lanthanoid oxides, a mass ratio F/B of the silica (F) to the hydrophylic binder (B) is 5.5-12, and the lanthanoid oxides are contained by 0.0001-1 mg/m<SP>2</SP>as a mass of the lanthanoid oxides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
