<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharging unit equipped with an electric supercharger which allows a car to run even when a bypass valve arranged in a bypass passage detouring the electric supercharger is stuck in a closed state. <P>SOLUTION: The supercharging unit includes the electric supercharger 4 driven by an electric motor 4b. The electric supercharger 4 is arranged in an intake passage 8 on the downstream of a turbo supercharger 3. The supercharging unit also includes the bypass passage 10 detouring the electric supercharger 4 and connecting the intake passages 8, 9 on the upstream and downstream of the electric supercharger 4, and the bypass valve 6 for opening/closing the bypass passage 10. In the unit, the electric supercharger 4 and the bypass valve 6 are controlled while being associated with each other when supercharging is changed from the electric supercharger 4 to the turbo supercharger 3. The unit is provided with a supercharge changing means which stops the electric supercharger 4 and opens and drives the bypass valve 6 when the supercharging is changed from the electric supercharger 4 to the turbo supercharger 3, a sticking detection means for detecting the stuck closure of the bypass valve 6 and a re-driving means for re-driving the electric supercharger 4 when the stuck closure is detected by the sticking detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
