RECEIVER, BROADCAST TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND AUXILIARY CONTENT SERVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that auxiliary contents related to broadcast contents cannot be reproduced selectively at timings intended by the broadcast station in synchronism with the broadcast contents.

SOLUTION: A contents synchronous reproduction system is provided with an auxiliary content server 103 for transmitting the auxiliary contents related to the broadcast contents; a broadcast transmission device 101 for multiplexing the address of the auxiliary contents and synchronous description information including reproduction start time with the broadcast contents so as to broadcast the multiplexed contents; and a receiver 102 which receives the auxiliary contents from the auxiliary content server on the basis of the address of the auxiliary contents included in the synchronous description information in a broadcast multiplex stream through a network 107 and synchronously reproduces the broadcast contents in the multiplex stream and the auxiliary contents received from the auxiliary content server on the basis of the reproduction start time included in the synchronous description information.
