<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmental management system for automatically conducting the monitoring, totalization, and analysis of environmental performance data in a prescribed area. <P>SOLUTION: This environmental management system is equipped with an environmental management device provided with a means for collecting data expressing operating conditions of energy consuming installations disposed in the prescribed area while controlling the operation of the consuming installations; an environment monitoring server for controlling the operation of of the consuming installations while checking the operating conditions of the consuming installations via the management device; and a network for connecting the management device to the monitoring server. The consuming installations are each equipped with an IT apparatus having environment control software built-in. With respect to the IT apparatuses having software built-in for environment control, the monitoring server checks up on the operating conditions of the IT apparatuses via the control software to control the operation of the IT apparatuses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
