<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method useful for dictionary selection, analyzing an entry and its explanatory sentence, and exhibiting a characteristic of a dictionary with objective information. <P>SOLUTION: This dictionary estimation support device comprises: an explanatory sentence extraction means 3 extracting an explanatory sentence corresponding to an inputted entry; a related term output means 4 outputting a plurality of terms included in the explanatory sentence as related terms; a related information production means 5 producing related information showing relevance with the entry as a reference about each the outputted related term; and a related information output means 6 outputting the produced related information. A term input acceptance means 1 accepts input of an evaluation object term that is an evaluation object as an initial value, and accepts input of the related term outputted by the related term output means 4.
