PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator core having good workability of connecting a core segment further with a good magnetic characteristic, even in the case of producing the stator core by connecting the core segment produced by stacking core split sheets. SOLUTION: As shown in the drawing (b), the core segment 7a is formed with a protruded part 8b for connection with a circular arc in a plan view and a recessed part 8a for engageably connecting with this protruded part 8b for connection, this protruded part 8b for connection of the adjacent one core segment 7a is engaged to freely turn for more than 180 degrees with the recessed part 8a for connection formed in the other core segment 7a, to produce a core segment series unit 9 as shown in the drawing (c).
