摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost ground fault detecting circuit which can accurately detect whether the power output node of a switching regulator is ground faulted or not. SOLUTION: The ground fault detecting circuit 10 of this switching regulator includes a p-channel MOS transistor 11, a resistance element 12 and a diode 13 for supplying high-frequency current to the power output node N2, inverters 16, 17 for outputting a signal of "H" level if the potential of the power output node N2 exceeds a predetermined potential, and a D-flip-flop 18 set when the signal of the "H" level is output from the inverters 16, 17 to set an activation signalϕE to an "H" level to activate a control circuit 6.
