PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shield device for a power converter which does not mar the external appearance of an entrance or the like and does not hinder the passage and besides does not transmute or discolor a ceiling or a wall by heat and does not allow waterdrops to penetrate itself even if dew condenses on a wall face. SOLUTION: This is the heat shield 1 for breaking the hot blast discharged from the topside of a casing, in the power converter 4 which is provided with an electric circuit for power conversion within its casing and is arranged along a side wall face 32 continuous from a ceiling face 31. This heat shield consists of a side wall part 1b which is arranged along the side wall face 32 positioned above the above casing and a roof part 1c which covers the above casing, being arranged along the above ceiling face 32.
