PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and fully inject ink without lowering the ink filling efficiency by even in an ink tank which has a low height, wide and a small flat shape. SOLUTION: The ink tank 10 stores at the bottom face side in a box-shaped container 11, a first ink holding member of a shape which nearly totally covers an inner face of a bottom face, and a second ink holding member which abuts on the first ink holding member and has a smaller ink holding force than that of the first ink holding member. An ink supply port 14 is formed at the bottom face of the container 11, and grooves 17 which communicate with the ink supply port 14 are formed at the inner face. The groove 17 extends from the ink supply port 14 near the center to wall faces 11a and 11b which form edges of a bottom part.
