PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera jacket which makes it possible to rapidly take a camera of a transversely long shape out of a housed state. SOLUTION: The camera jacket 12 is so constituted as to cover the camera 14 with a first jacket 20 and a second jacket 22. The first jacket 20 is provided with a first side section 20A and a first bottom surface section 2008. The second jacket 22 is provided with a top surface section 2202, a second bottom surface section 2208 and a left profile section 2210. The section 2008 is secured to the camera 14 by means of internal threads 1650 and a screw member 28 for mounting a tripod. The first jacket 20 is thereby attached to the camera 24. The first bottom surface section 2008 and the second bottom surface section 2208 are coupled by means of a flexible cord-like member 30.
