PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light interference type display panel in which the joining quality and the reliability of a driving circuit are improved and to provide a method of manufacturing the display panel. SOLUTION: The light interference type display panel is characterized in that the panel has a substrate (10), an optical layer (20) having a transparent electrode (21), a supporting layer (11) and a conductive layer (13) are formed on the surface of the substrate (10), and joining pads (201, 202) composed of the transparent electrode (21) on the optical layer (20) for driving circuit are formed at the periphery of the substrate (10).
