PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a seat at an arbitrary position by acquiring smooth rolling properties of auxiliary wheels for the seat and making the seat movable on a floor in the front/rear direction without marking striped compressed traces of the auxiliary wheels on a carpet of the floor. SOLUTION: This monorail used for an automobile seat extends in the forward and backward directions of the floor 21 between right/left front and rear seats 24, 25 and 26, 27, and is slenderly opened and mounted on the floor 21, and includes a long slide rail 11 and right/left floor finishers 16, 17 having a wide band shape. The long slide rail 11 has a groove-shaped cross section and is capable of moving the seat on the floor 21 in the forward/backward direction to mount the seat at a proper position. The finishers 16, 17 are fixedly mounted on right and left top flanges 12, 13 of the long slide rail 11 and extend along the right and left sides of the long slide rail 11, and laid on the floor 21 over the rolling range of the auxiliary wheels 33, 34 of the seat 28.
