<p>The invention relates to a speed changer (1) which is used to control derailleurs (5, 6) by means of cables (3, 4) from a single rotating handle (2), said deraileurs (5, 6) being connected respectively to an elastic return means. The inventive speed changer (1) comprises at least two cable-manoeuvring mechanisms (7, 8). According to the invention, the mechanism (8) for manoeuvring the cable (4) of the rear derailleur (6), which rotates integrally with the handle (2), can cause the rear cable (4) to loosen or tighten when the handle (2) is rotated in one direction. The speed changer is characterised in that the rotating assembly, formed by at least one mechanism (8) for manoeuvring the rear cable (4) and the handle (2), can be connected to rotate intermittently with the mechanism (7) for manoeuvring the front cable (3) of the front derailleur (5) which, depending on the direction in which the handle (2) is rotated, can cause the front cable (3) of the front derailleur (5) to tighten or loosen.</p> |
