PURPOSE: A method for upgrading software of a mobile terminal and a system thereof are provided to prevent loss of data generated in the case of upgrading software. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal transmits a request signal for upgrading software through a wireless network(S1). A software managing server checks the kind of the mobile terminal and outputs a list of possible upgrade to the mobile terminal(S2). A user selects one from the list(S3). Software and personal data stored in the mobile terminal are uploaded to the software managing server before the selected software is upgraded to the mobile terminal(S4). The selected software is upgraded to the mobile terminal(S5). |
