<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber collimator whose aligning work can be carried out easily and in a short period of time when mounted on an optical component since the optical axis of light emitted from a lens of the fiber collimator is in the target direction and thus the optical axis can be easily found out, and to provide the optical component using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The fiber collimator 1 is equipped with a lens 3 connected with an optical fiber 4 and a casing 2, and the lens 3 is fixed to the casing 2 in such a manner that the central axis 3a of the lens 3 has an angle to the central axis 2a of the casing.
