<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical computer chassis providing for good workability during assembly or expansion, reducing working hours, facilitating quality control, and eliminating the need for extra volume and extra retainers from the beginning of expansion regardless of a large maximum number of parts that can be installed. <P>SOLUTION: The computer chassis has a motherboard 21 mounted on and parallel to one side of a self-standing plate-shaped chassis 11. Retainers 16, 17, 18 for retaining a power unit 28 and auxiliary storage devices 26, 27 can be attached to the back of the motherboard.
