<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head including a fiber reinforced resin outer hull which has a practically sufficient strength, improves repulsive performance and further is capable of realizing excellent shot feelings. <P>SOLUTION: In the golf club head, an epoxy resin whose viscosity is 100 cps is prepared as a matrix resin, and a carbon nano-fiber indicating characteristics that an average fiber diameter is 150 nm and a heat conductivity under a temperature state of 15°C is 1500 W/(m×K) is mixed in the ratio of 3 mass% in the epoxy resin as a micro-carbon fiber 8 to obtain a matrix fiber material. Besides, a PAN carbon fiber is prepared as a reinforced fiber to obtain a prepreg sheet whose fiber volume (Vf) is 55%. The prepreg sheet is appropriately cut to form a crown portion and this is hardened in a metal die by heating, thereby forming a fiber reinforced resin crown outer hull 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
