PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift which can always stop the opening for the insertion of the shaft into a mechanism box without increase in the entire thickness of the mechanism box. SOLUTION: A circular mask plate 25 is arranged between a side panel 18 of the mechanism box 10a and a rear support link 5a and a turning shaft 13a fixed on the rear support link 5a pierces the center thereof. Moreover, a shaft 22 for linking the rear support link 5a to an oil damper 20 inside the mechanism box 10a pierces the mask plate 25 and a slot 17 of the side panel 18 sequentially. The radius centering round the rotary shaft 13a of the mask plate 25 is made large enough to cover the whole of the slot 17. As the rear support link 5a turns, the rear support link 5a, the turning shaft 13a, the shaft 22 and the mask plate 25 can rotate together on the turning shaft 13a, thereby always keeping the slot 17 stopped regardless of the positions of the rear support link 5a and the shaft 22.
