PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently using a storage area by controlling a management method of performance data that are data including performance information of a computer system. SOLUTION: This data management method of the performance data of the computer system comprising the storage area for writing performance data and data other than that and the controller for controlling the storage area comprises steps of detecting the free space of the storage area by the controller, determining the writing method of performance data according to the detected free space by the controller, acquiring performance data by the controller, and writing the acquired performance data in the storage area by the controller.
