<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a roller pair supporting mechanism capable of preventing the uneven wear of a bearing, prolonging the lifetime of the bearing and easily judging the lifetime of the bearing. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing 57 rotates to a direction of an arrow 7 at a specified speed while the bearing is held attached to a roller supporting plate 48. The uneven contact portion of the bearing 57 in a pressure contact direction 69 of a revolving shaft 52 changes. A worn region 70a of the bearing 57 spreads uniformly increasingly along an inner peripheral surface 57a of the bearing 57.
