PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in that recognition is not made to see whether a main body device is normally connected to a rear side operation section or not. SOLUTION: Electronic equipment has a rear side operation section 14 executing operation and the main body device 11 wire-connected to the rear side operation section. The main body device comprises: a voltage generation section 11A generating a given voltage Vcc between the main body device and the rear side operation section; a voltage detection section 39A detecting a voltage between the main body device and the rear side operation section; and a voltage determination section 39B determining whether or not the voltage detected by the voltage detection section is a first voltage value V1 or a second voltage value V2. When the voltage between the main body device and the rear side operation section is determined as the first voltage value, determination is made that the rear side operation section 14 is normally wire-connected to the main body device.
