PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a nuclear reactor by re-preparing an operation solution using an updated or corrected objective function, and by executing the operation solution. SOLUTION: In this method of the present invention, the operation solution for the nuclear reactor is prepared using the objective function including a restriction condition for coping with each discriminated problem (S2) to develop a mathematical expression for expressing the restraint conditions (S3). The restraint conditions are built in the objective function used when optimizing a reactor core operation (S4). A new model for operating a nuclear reactor core is developed after completing determination of a new objective function or after completing correction of the existing objective function (S5). The reactor core is operated according to the prepared operation solution for a fixed period (S6). A new data about the core operation is acquired based on a further operation for the core (S7).
