PERMANENT MAGNET TYPE ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE AND COMPRESSOR USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type rotary electric machine which can reduce noise by reducing a pulsating torque and an electromagnetic exciting force without decreasing a generated torque. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type rotary electric machine 3 includes a stator 8 having a stator core 16 in which a stator winding 17 is wound in a concentrated manner, and a rotor 7 having a rotor core 9 in which permanent magnets 12, 12A and 12B are axially magnetized to form poles and which is opposed to the stator core 16 via a circumferential gap. The rotor core 9 is constituted by laminating a first rotor core 10A and a second rotor core 10B. Spaces 15, 15A and 15B which become symmetrical with respect to the center of the pole are formed in a laminating direction at the outer peripheral side of the permanent magnet 12 in the second rotor core 10B.
