PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone which can give fitting comfort to a user, can be made to be compact, and especially can prevent the fitting comfort from being impaired at all and improve it if possible. SOLUTION: The headphone (1) is provided with an arcuate portion (2) and two ear pads (3). On the basis of a Cartesian spatial system, a rotating shaft (R) forming an angle of at least 10°, advantageously at least 15°, between each of the three planes is provided between the headphone arc portion and a joint type suspension portion of each of the ear pads (3), depending on each of the ear pads (3), to couple the headphone arc portion with the each of the ear pads (3). The Cartesian spatial system consists of an X, a Y and a Z planes. The Z plane is a symmetrical plane of the headphone, an Y plane is a plane which extends perpendicularly to the Z plane to cross the center of the arc portion, and an X plane is a plane which crosses both the defined planes at right angles and has an arbitrary height.
