PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advertisement information receiving method and receiving apparatus in which troublesomeness that a person who desires to be provided with CM and a viewer are not always matched since a CM is sent while being embedded in an unspecific program is resolved, a specific CM that is broadcasted as a program on a different channel from a channel under viewing in the same time slot can be immediately confirmed, an opportunity for a CM to appeal to latent viewer's demand is not lost and further, merit of reducing production costs is made possible. SOLUTION: The advertisement information receiving method is provided with the steps of: registering information relating to a product, a field and the like desired to provide CM by a viewer in a specific information registering means in advance (1); detecting the CM under broadcasting at present and extracting detailed information of the CM by a CM information extracting means (2); comparing the extracted detailed information with the information registered in the specific information registering means and receiving a channel broadcasting the CM by a program-on-different channel receiving means when the information is matched (3); and composing the CM and the main program by a composition means, displaying the main program on a master picture of a display means and displaying the CM on its slave picture respectively (4).
