PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzyme inhibitor or a medicine, exhibiting excellent cyclooxygenase-inhibiting activities and 5-lipoxygenase-inhibiting activities, and expected to have antiinflammatory and analgesic activities, antipyretic activities, antiallergic activities or the like. SOLUTION: The cyclooxygenase inhibitor or 5-lipoxygenase inhibitor contains a compound represented by formula (1) (wherein, R is independently H or a 1-10C alkyl or acyl group) as an active ingredient.
