PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make ultraviolet irradiation uniform in a breadthwise direction of thermosensitive recording paper. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet lamp has nature that light emission intensity is larger at one of ends and becomes smaller toward the other end. The end where the intensity is large is determined depending on a type of the lamp. Yellow ultraviolet lamps 20a and 20b of the same kind having the same mark are used and alternately arranged so that their marks 30 and 31 are alternately positioned. This arrangement causes the two ultraviolet lamps 20a and 20b to complement the light emission intensity to make the ultraviolet irradiation uniform in the breadthwise direction of the thermosensitive recording paper.
