PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the ease of use by facilitating insertion and extraction of a cable. SOLUTION: A facsimile machine 90 includes a recording unit for recording pictures in a material to be recorded, a reading unit for reading pictures of a recording material having the pictures recorded, and an external interface part for transmitting information between the recording unit and reading unit, and an external device. The external interface part has a USB connector 22 to which the cable connected to the external device is to be set and separated.
