PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for extracting and measuring a component in a plant, which enables even a measuring person having no special knowledge or technique related to analysis to safely perform extracting operation at the time of extracting operation and does not require work for the addition of a liquid, cutting, pressing, filtration, dilution or the like at the time of extraction. SOLUTION: In the method for extracting and measuring the component in the plant, a water absorbent member containing an extractant is brought into contact with the surface of the plant.
