VIBRATION SUPPRESSING METHOD FOR PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppressing method for a plate having a good robusting characteristic for damping properly the vibratory input to the plate regardless of a varying vibration mode using a simple constitution which does not require any control circuit using a piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: A vibration suppressing device 10 is composed of a piezoelectric element 11 in a plate shape affixed to the plate 1 as an object whose vibration is to be suppressed and a shunt circuit 13 put in series connection with the piezoelectric element. The shunt circuit consists of a parallel connection of a first circuit in which a first resistance element R1and a first inductance element L1are put in series connection and a second circuit in which a second resistance element R2, a second inductance element L2, and a capacitor element C2are put in series connection. The elements constituting the shunt circuit are adjusted to the proper values by the worst gain minimization method. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
