PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump, preventing abnormal sound, short life and slip-off of a belt by reducing a change in clearance due to incorporation of a ball bearing and reducing an axial clearance and a corner clearance. SOLUTION: In this water pump, the ball bearing 5 is interposed between a cylindrical part 2a of an inner fixed side member 2 and a cylindrical pulley part 3c of an outer rotation side member 3 which are both formed by press processing of a steel plate. An outer ring 5b of the ball bearing 5 is fixed to the inner periphery of the pulley part 3c of the rotation side member 3 by interference fit, an inner ring 5a of the ball bearing 5 is fitted to the outer periphery of the cylindrical part 2a of the fixed side member 2 by clearance fit, a stop projection 17 for preventing the inner ring 5a of the ball bearing 5 from slipping off is provided on the tip part of the cylindrical part 2a of the fixed side member 2, and a slit 16 reducing the diameter of the part having the projection 17 is formed in the cylindrical part 2a of the fixed side member 2.
