A circuit for processing video signals has a color display (3) in a TV appliance or monitor. A second circuit (2) is arranged between a first circuit (1) and a color display (3) in the course of video signal processing, in which the first circuit (1) has circuit stages (4,5) for generating luminance signal (Y) and chrominance signals (RGB) from the color difference signals (R-Y;B-Y) and the second circuit (2) is provided for signal processing of the chrominance signals and the luminance signal (Y) for indication with the color display (3). An independent claim is also included an appliance for reproduction of TV signals with a circuit for processing video signals.
