By using their movable control surfaces (35,37), first (36) and second (40) actuators act on a fluid enclosed in a hydraulic space in a fuel injection valve (1) and then use the fluid to act on a surface of a valve needle's (5) piston valve (20) so that the piston slides with the valve needle as the actuators work in opposite directions, which causes the fuel injection valve to open and close.
