<p>An ink-jet recording sheet that has a bulk equal to or greater than that of noncoated paper, retaining the same quality as that of coated type sheets with respect to surface smoothness, printed image sharpness, ink absorption and water resistance and that while being bulky, is improved with respect to ink strike-through and cockring. In particular, an ink-jet recording sheet comprising a raw sheet and, superimposed thereon, an ink receptive layer, wherein the raw sheet comprises synthetic fibers. It is preferred that the synthetic fibers be those of branched configuration.</p> |
