<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting an insensitive area conveniently and more accurately, and to provide a mobile communication system. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone having a GPS receiving section monitors the receiving condition of a GPS signal and the radio communication condition with a radio base station constantly, acquires GPS information when the GPS signal is receivable but radio communication with the radio base station is impossible and records it as out of zone location information. The out of zone location information recorded at a moment in time when radio communication with the radio base station becomes possible is transmitted from the portable telephone through the radio base station to a mobile communication management center managing portable telephone service. The out of zone location information transmitted from the portable telephone to the mobile communication management center is processed statistically by an information processor in order to estimate a candidate place of insensitive area incapable of providing portable telephone service or to monitor the operating condition of the radio base station. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
