<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL lighting element of a full-face illumination type capable of stably emitting light. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL lighting element is provided with a plurality of luminous segments 1 each formed by interposing an EL electroluminescent layer 12 between a positive electrode 13 and a negative electrode 11, and the plurality of the luminous segments 1, 1, - are formed so as to emit light simultaneously. The positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 11 are electrically connected between the different luminous segments 1.
