PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain image data of which the change of light receiving characteristics due to the temperature of a light receiving part is more exactly compensated in an image reader. SOLUTION: Temperature data indicating the temperature of the light receiving part 60 is obtained based on dark output data outputted from a line sensor 65 based on a dark output signal outputted from the light receiving part 60 without receiving light by the light receiving part 60 by a temperature data acquisition means 70. After that, a compensation means 75 inputs the image data photoelectrically converted by the light receiving part 60 and outputted from the line sensor 65 while the light receiving part 60 receives stimulating light generated from a radiograph image conversion panel 10 by irradiation of exciting light Le and the compensation means 75 compensates the image data based on the temperature data.
