PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce costs of a recorder with two types of face-up and face-down recorded material discharge passages. SOLUTION: A curving and reversing passage is provided on the downstream side of a recording head 100, where a paper sheet P is curved and reversed for face-down discharge. A Fd/Fu change-over member 503 has a curved face 503b and constitutes part of the curving and reversing passage in the face-down (Fd) discharge passage. On the other hand, the Fd/Fu change-over member 503 is provided near a branch position between the faceup (Fu) discharge passage and the Fd discharge passage, and it is oscillated for change-over between the Fu discharge passage and the Fd discharge passage, providing the function of a recorded material discharge passage change-over means.
