PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of pressure head loss of air flow on the rearseat side and the dimensional enlargement of an air conditioning case, in an air conditioner for a vehicle for adjusting blow off temperature on the rearseat side using air conditioning unit for a front seat. SOLUTION: A flow rate ratio of cold air 42 passing through a cold air by-pass passage 19 for the backseat located on the downside of a heat exchanger 13 for heating of the air conditioning unit for the front seat to hot air 41 passing through a passage for the rearseat of the heat exchanger 13 for heating is adjusted using an air mix door for the rearseat. The cold air 42 and the hot air 41 are aligned in the vehicle lateral direction by a cold air guide 43 and a hot air guide 44 and introduced to a face opening 38 for the rearseat on the upside and a foot opening 39 for the rearseat on the downside, and the cold air and the hot air are mixed in a face duct for the rearseat and a foot duct for the rearseat.
