PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized recording device which has a card edge type connector. SOLUTION: Pressing parts 403a are formed of a sheet metal with spring properties, having L-shaped sheet metal members set by burring caulking near a rotation fulcrum centering a guide shaft 402 at right and left two points of a first side plate part 403αand a second side plate part 403βof a head set lever 403, respectively. The pressing parts 403a function to press a recording head cartridge 501 to a carriage 401. The pressing parts 403a press the recording head carriage 501 to a head connector 405 near both ends of the head connector 405 from nearly above the head connector, whereby an electric wiring board 506 is smoothly inserted to the head connector 405.
