PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device wherein a recording head is easily attached to and detached from a head carriage, and the head carriage is miniaturized and weight-reduced. SOLUTION: A cover member is attached to the head carriage so as to be freely opened and closed, and a lever member goes up and down, associated with opening and closing of the cover member. The head connector of the recording head is separated from a carriage connector in a state of the cover member of the head carriage being released, and the head connector is joined to the carriage connector with the recording head pressed by the cover member in a state of the cover member being closed while the lever member displaced downward is separated from the recording head.
