PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supplying metallic material with which semi-molten metal having little impurities etc., can be supplied into a forming mold from a sleeve and these impurities etc., can easily be removed from the sleeve, and to provide a molding apparatus using the supplying apparatus and a molding method. SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for supplying metallic material is provided with a plunger 14 forming an annular gap at the interval between the inner periphery of the sleeve 12 and the plunger. When the metallic material 50 in a semi-molten state is charged into the sleeve 12 and the plunger 14 is risen, the axial portion 52 of the metallic material is pushed up and supplied into a metallic mold 40 leaving the surface layer portion 54 thereof. A projecting member 20 is then protruded from the outer periphery of the plunger 14 and when the plunger 14 is descended in such a state, the surface layer portion 54 left on the wall surface of the sleeve 12 is scraped down with the projecting member 20 and exhausted from the lower part of the sleeve 12.
