HAND BRAKE INTERLOCKED SHIFT-LOCKING DEVICE OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A hand brake interlocked shift-locking device of an automatic transmission vehicle is provided to prevent wear of parts and accidents by not driving the vehicle while a hand brake is not released. CONSTITUTION: An automatic transmission vehicle having a hand brake as an auxiliary brake and a shift lever(10) for operating traveling conditions is composed of a hand brake switch interlocked and operated together with the hand brake; a first switch operated by electricity applied by the hand brake switch; and a shift locking unit for constraining movements of the shift lever by the first switch. A relay switch is used for the first switch. The shift locking unit comprises a shift lock actuator(21) operated by the first switch to horizontally reciprocate; a shift lock arm(22) connected with the shift lock actuator to change the horizontal motions into vertical motions; and a shift lock plate(23) for controlling the movement of a groove pin(12) coupled to the shift lever with the vertical motions of the shift lock arm.
