<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electrochemical device capable of obtaining an electrochemical device with improved output efficiency, having excellent durability such as thermal durability, chemical durability, and strength durability. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the electrochemical device constituted of a first electrode, a second electrode and an ion exchange membrane 2 laid between the electrodes, an ion exchange group such as a sulfonic group is combined with the polyvinylidene fluoride of the catalyst layer 1 after forming a catalytic layer 1a containing a catalytic material of platinum or the like and polyvinylidene fluoride, and the obtained catalyst layer 1b containing the ion exchange group is utilized at least for either the first electrode or the second electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
