<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump capable of improving delivery head, achieving compactness of a super-magnetostriction pump, delivering high-pressure fluid under high-precision control by taking the advantages of a super-magnetostriction element, and easily regulating delivery pressure. <P>SOLUTION: Drive control to electromagnetic coils 3 and 8 is executed as they are interlocked with each other, so that a piston member 7 is displaced while a valve member 2 is at a closure position. Pressure of fluid in a recessed part 1g is thus increased. By displacing the valve member 2 to an opening position after the pressure is increased to a prescribed value, high-pressure fluid can be delivered outward through a delivery hole 1m. In addition, an intervalδbetween the valve member 2 and the delivery hole 1m when opened can be easily changed by enclosing operating fluid of varied quantity in the recessed part 1d. By using non-compression fluid for the operating fluid, rigidity can be maintained very high, and the opening position of the valve member 2 can be constant. Fluid under high-precision for fluid and pressure can thus be delivered. By using the compression fluid, the valve member 2 can be maintained at the closure position with force corresponding to elasticity characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
